These paintings are usually developed working directly from the model in the initial stages. I combine careful observation, seeking accuracy of proportion and detail, with free, fast sketching approaches. Additional layers and textures can then be applied without the model present. This section displays my oil paintings, for line and wash and relief work see Figures 2
